In Memory of a Great Comrade and Fellow Pilot, Jack Mogus
Born December 27th, 1934 and passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 30th, 2017. Jack is survived by his sons, Craig, Curt, and Erik, as well as 6 grandchildren, Patrick, Tyler, Erin, Megan, Austin, and Chase Mogus.
Jack grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and spent the early part of his adult life in service to our country as a member of the United States Air Force. He later went to work for Eastern Airlines, eventually becoming a Captain and settling his family in Vienna, Virginia. He founded Nova Security/Technical Services in the latter part of his professional career, which he was still running at the time of his passing.
He was an active and enthusiastic member of several organizations, including the Freemasons and (Shelby) Cobra Club. He enjoyed coaching sports and particularly had a fondness for the relationships he built with the parents and kids on his football and soccer teams.
Surviving members of the family are extremely grateful for the outreach and showing of support since Jack’s passing. Services will be open to anyone wanting to attend. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 5:00pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
