Happy Birthday Captain John!

We are getting ready to head out on a Double Angel Flight Mission today on Johns 95th Birthday!  We will be departing home base Luray around 0800 heading for Asheville NC. From Asheville we will head back to home base to refuel then depart again heading this time northeast to Philadelphia PA!  We will be spending the night in Philly and tomorrow we will retrace the flight of today, taking our passenger Elaine back home. This will make a total of 4 missions in 2 days(By weeks end we will have a total of 8 missions over Johns Birthday) John will be completing his 436th Angel Flight Mission today on his actual Birthday….. what a way to celebrate!

Have a Great Day All ……… I will posting more tonight from Philly!

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN JOHN! You are a real legend! Sorry I couldn’t make it on Sunday. I was out of town for my Mom’s Birthday over the weekend. I am working on an article about you and Fred for WWII Magazine. They asked me to pick two WWII Vets and you guys were the first to come to mind. Thanks for all you and Nevin are doing! You are both amazing people!
