On this Angel Flight we flew down to Twin County Airport at Galax/Hillsville Virginia and picked up our passenger Anthony. Anthony’s destination for the end of the day would be Teterboro NJ. We flew Anthony back to our home base (Luray) where Angel Flight Pilot Kenny Painter was waiting to continue him on to Teterboro.
Flight conditions were very smooth with light winds on both legs of our flight (this was very unusual ….. we have had fairly strong winds on most of our flights so far this year !) Total flight time was 2.9 hours covering 324 nautical miles (all in one State….. Virginia) This Angel Flight was very short in comparison to ones that we normally do.
