Three agents were dropped during the night into the Austrian Alps near two frozen lakes behind enemy lines by a blackened B24 flown by Command Pilot Captain John Billings and his crew! This remarkable story is of Fred Mayer, a German-born Jew who escaped Nazi Germany only to return as an American commando on this secret mission behind the enemy lines! The book signing will be at the Winchester Book Gallery located at 7 North Loudoun Street, Winchester Va 22601.
